Do's and Don'ts of DetoxingIt’s summer and this is the perfect time to step into a detox!

  • The produce is fresh and delicious
  • The weather is warmer
  • It’s a natural time to want to help our body feel more alive!

Personally, I LOVE detoxes! I think of them as an update of my biological operating system! Just like I update my software on my computer, I want to update and upgrade how my body functions!

Every time I offer my Nourished Woman Detox, I do it myself! Want to join me? I’m starting the next one on July 20th, 2015.

Just like you change the oil in your car, to make sure it runs its best, or you do a big spring clean in your house to get rid of the cobwebs and clutter, you want to do that for your body too.

salad167When you…

  • Supercharge your body with high-nutrient food
  • Give your body a break from processed and sugary foods
  • and add foods that support easy elimination…

you release the sludge and gunk in your system that contributes to exhaustion, brain-fog, excess weight, cravings and a host of other symptoms you’ve just learned to cope with.

This detox is truly the reset button for your body.
It will remind you how you good you can feel and will jumpstart healthy habits.

But before you jump into a detox, I want to offer you some Detox do’s and don’ts:

DON’Ts:

  • Don’t be super restrictive: When you dramatically reduce your calories – your body thinks it’s going to be starved and slows down your metabolism – that slows down your energy and weight loss. (Restriction also just makes me cranky!)
  • Don’t get into time sucking prep: Seriously, as a busy woman, you know you just won’t stick with something that takes too much time, or is too different from what your family is eating.

DO’s:

  • Do eat delicious food that’s easy to make.
  • Do dramatically increase plant based, nutrient-rich foods.
  • Do make healthy treats you can reach for, so you can easily let go of foods you already know are keeping you from feeling great.
  • Do create Energy in a glass – green smoothies and juices are the “easy button” for more pep!
  • Do let your detox teach you about what really makes your body sing and what doesn’t, so that your detox lasts SO much longer than a week!
  • Do get Support! Being guided, supported and even cooked for, makes all the difference between will-powering versus enjoying your way through your detox.

If you’d like to join me for a delicious and easy detox that will leave you feeling great, click here to learn more and register asap ’cause we’re starting on Monday, July 20th, but we’re starting to do some easy prep the weekend before.
