I’m going to cut to the chase here because as I write this, I’m also in the last minute packing frenzy to go on a trip with my husband and kids to see family and friends.

So here’s the deal:
To stay healthy when you travel you need to eat healthy.
To eat healthy when you travel you need to think ahead a bit.
Here are a few ways to be prepared.
1. Pack healthy food – I’ve got my favorites listed below.
2. Scout out fresh fruit and veg at your destination.
3. For bonus points: Research where the local health food store is.
Here’s what I always take on a plane:
Oh ya, and often I take my Vitamix – my super powered blender! You can read more about that here. But this time – perhaps for the first time ever – I am packing super light. We are all taking just one back-pack per person. Alas, my Vitamix does not fit in my back-pack. (But the good news is that once I get to my mom’s house, I can use hers!)
Here’s my newest, perfect travel food:
I just found this product recently. It’s a combination of sprouted seeds and superfoods that turn any plain-jane salad into a nutrient dense and delicious treat.

Here’s the supplement I take every morning when I travel. I also take Pure Synergy at home on a daily basis, but it feels even more important to have it when I travel, because I’m less sure that I’ll get the high quality veg I need.
