Not your average mother's day wishes

Absolutely! Stopping and celebrating the women in our lives who have nurtured us is SO important.

And I don’t just mean the women who gave birth to us. I mean ALL the women who have helped us on our life-path.

YES! Let’s celebrate, let’s send flowers, make brunches and all of that. I wish for all us – whether we have kids or not – to be fully appreciated for the contribution we are in each other’s lives.

That’s all good AND….

I want to wish you something deeper for Mother’s Day.

I want to wish you a happy SELF-MOTHERING life!

Not just a day when other’s treat you in the way that you deserve.

Not just a moment of appreciation and celebration.

I want to wish you:

  • Self-compassion
  • Self-respect
  • Self-appreciation

I want you to:

  • Buy yourself flowers
  • Give yourself a compliment in the mirror
  • Make beautiful food for yourself

I wish that you would:

  • See your own magnificence every day

I want you to mother YOURSELF in the kindest and most powerful way.

Because when we mother ourselves, when we nurture ourselves, when we are loving and supporting to ourselves – we are deeply nourishing ourselves. And when we feel nourished, we flourish in our lives. We are happier, we are calmer, we have more energy – and we get to be fully ourselves. And really, the world desperately needs us all to be fully ourselves, needs us all to bring our unique gifts to the table.

Basically, when you mother yourself, we all win.

So, happy SELF-MOTHERING LIFE to you! May you nourish yourself every day!
