A DAY JUST FOR YOU…

choose your location:

* Creemore, Ontario: Sat. April 4th 2020

* Arlington, Massachusetts: Sat. April 25th 2020

Join us for this special day of listening to your body through art.

This day is perfect for non-artists and artists alike.

It’s for you if you want to cultivate a deeply compassionate, caring and connected relationship with your body.

The ONLY pre-requisite is that you have a body!

Imagine feeling truly at peace in your own body…

Imagine not criticising your shape, size or signs of aging…

Imagine talking to yourself with compassion, kindness and caring.

Imagine deeply honoring and listening to the journey of your sacred body.

Imagine having tools that keep you reconnected to body-peace.

Our creativity is the pathway to this healing:

Women are experts at giving, doing and going, we need to stop and tap into our innate creativity which allows us to receive and heal.

Creativity doesn’t mean artistry – it means listsening to the deep unconscious self. This is the pathway to healing our relationship with our body.

This retreat is a sacred space for you to do the important work of…

LISTENING to your body (She often gets ignored)

CREATING a visual and written language to have the deep and important conversations that our body is waiting for us to have with her. (We’ll be working with clay and words and movement – art experience is NOT necessary at all)

EXPLORING and PLAYING with how to navigate issues of embodiment, body-dialogue and body-acceptance. (You’ll be leaving with visual touchstones that support your relationship with your body)

PRACTICING receiving in many delicious and nurturing ways. (We’ll be making and eating luscious food together!)

How does creativity support the journey of healing?

Through art we can cultivate a deeper and more authentic awareness of how to be and accept living in the one and only body that we have for our lives.

Creativity permeates the deepest parts of us where sometimes there are no words.

The process of creating art gives our body a voice, when sometimes she hasn’t had one.

Here’s what you can expect…

During The CREATE, CULTIVATE & CONNECT Retreat we’ll be…

CREATING art in the service of CULTIVATING a COMPASSIONATE CONNECTION to our body

Our focus for the day is to explore and deepen our relationship with our body and open the door wide for self-compassion.

We’ll be using the creative arts (clay, movement, writing, drawing) to invite an authentic dialogue with our body.

We’ll be moving our bodies in gentle, safe and fun ways.

We’ll be enjoying (and cooking!) delicious and nutritious food. (no gluten, dairy or sugar) Lunch is included and fear not, dessert will happen! (We’ll meet from 10:00-4:00)

You’ll be surrounded by the most wonderful women who love to be real!

You’ll leave deeply nourished and equipped with tools to increase your body-awareness and deepen your body-acceptance.

And of course, you’ll be in a safe, non-judgemental, size-inclusive space. Please let us know if you have any special food or accessability needs.

In case we haven’t met before…

I’m Nina Manolson, M.A., and I help women feel truly at home in their body.

I’m a Nutrition and Body-Relationship Therapist, Certified Psychology of Eating Teacher, Body-Trust Guide and Nationally Board Certified Holistic Health Coach. I’ve worked helping women heal their relationship with their bodies for over 25 years. I help women end their war with food and make peace with their body.

I’m known for helping my clients move past the deprivation-diet paradigm and into a compassionate and powerful way of eating & living which creates deep, long-lasting change.

I believe that all women deserve to feel truly good from the inside out. I also write poetic-essays that explore the complexities of women’s relationship with their body.

I’m Frith Bail M.P.S., and I have worked in clay my whole life.

I’m an artist and art therapist. I create safe spaces for women to explore their creativity and their connection to themselves through clay.

My work stems from my deep and sensitive observation of the natural world and acute understanding of the delicate balance that connects our body and soul to nature.

The forms that I create are both sensual and monumental. They are a celebration of our form and our experience.

I’m a Creemore, Ontario based artist and have created large installations for Nuit Blanche, Toronto, for many years. My work has been shown in Boston, Massachusetts, Concord, Massachusetts, Val David, Quebec, Toronto, Collingwood and Creemore, Ontario.

One more thing you might like to know about us….we are SISTERS!

And because of our deep bond, we have an unwavering belief in the healing power of sisterhood and connection.

We know that it’s in safe, supportive spaces that we can do the deep work of exploration, integration and transformation . And that’s the space that we are creating for you.

We hope you’ll join us.
