BODY-RESPECT
Let’s break it down…
Respect:
A positive feeling or action shown towards someone or something considered important, or held in high esteem or regard. (Wikipedia definition)
BODY-respect:
A positive feeling or action shown toward your body because you hold your corporeal existence as important, and hold her in high regard.
Respect:
The process of honoring someone by exhibiting care, concern, or consideration for their needs or feelings. (also Wikipedia)
BODY-Respect:
The process of learning to honor and exhibit care, concern and consideration for your own needs and embodied experience.
Respect:
Conveys a sense of admiration for good or valuable qualities.
BODY Respect
Holding and developing positive regard and appreciation for your own body.
Today’s questions for you are…
Do I hold my one precious body in high-regard?
Do I honor my true needs?
Do I show myself care and appreciation?
Truly, take a moment and answer those questions.
The answer isn’t for anyone else but you.
And no matter what the answer is…
how does that feel?
Is this the way you want to feel?
Is this the kind of relationship you want with your body?
If it is…brava!
If it’s not…it may be time to turn your kind and healing attention towards creating a more respectful relationship with your body.
It’s worth it.
It makes living in your body more joyful.
And you deserve that.
