Fix her and make all the pains go away
Fixing holds the promise
Everything will be OK
There is a magic wand
All problems will disappear
But fixing never worked
Fixing somehow always ended with failing
HEALING is what is required
CARING is what is necessary
TENDING to is what is called for
SUPPORT is what makes it possible
And REST is what is foundational
Healing holds the truth
Fixing and forcing and pushing makes it hard to hear her truth.
So I choose to
Listen
Nurture
Tend
Befriend
Respond
And nourish
The need to fix her eases
The desire for being with her – as she is – grows
