I speak to so many women who want to lose weight – get healthier – or want to change their unwanted eating habits right NOW!
The reality is – and I imagine if you’ve ever tried a quick fix diet, you know this – healing takes time and it takes ongoing practices.
It also takes LOVE.
I don’t mean that in a hokey, Hallmark card kind of way, I mean that in the way that love means kindness, compassion, caring and patience.
When it comes to healing our relationship with food and our body, we actually have to double up on LOVE – because a big part of the underlying problem is that we are NOT loving ourselves, we are NOT listening to our body – and we are NOT truly nourishing ourselves.
One of my primary directives in working with women is to create SUSTAINABLE nourishment practices. I’m not interested in rules that only last 2 weeks – I’m not interested in the latest fad – I’m captivated by how to create deep nourishment on a deep level, so that your whole life feels like a flower in bloom. This happens by focusing our attention on two main factors – LOVE and PRACTICES.
LOVE & PRACTICES
Great words, but let’s get real! What does “love and practices “look like in everyday life?
LOVE
When it comes to looking at our relationship with our food and body, love looks like talking very nicely to ourselves. I know it’s kind of tough sometimes because the old tapes: “I wish I was thinner” or “my belly is too big” get in the way. But working on how we treat ourselves and what we say to ourselves is number one. If you know you need work in this area, I invite you to check out my critic-free diet, it’s a way to create a more loving conversation between you and your body. You can find that right here.
PRACTICES
When it comes to healing our unwanted habits around food, PRACTICES are SO much more powerful than RULES!
Rules get broken. Practices get practiced!
Having specific nourishment practices in your life creates the foundation for healthy habits.
If you’re looking for a specific nourishment practice to help you create a more conscious and intentional relationship with food, I’ve got something simple and powerful to get you rolling.
EAT ON PURPOSE is a very specific practice for you to bring to the table. It’s not a miracle diet, it’s not a magic pill, it’s a practice that will bring more awareness to what you eat, why you eat, and how you eat.
Also, it’s totally FREE. I’ll guide you in the Eat on Purpose process in an easy step-by-step method via video and email.
Here’s where you’ll find out about the EAT ON PURPOSE Coaching Week.
PRACTICE & LOVE is what creates healing, not force, not willpower. I hope you’ll step into this gentle and kind approach to healing your relationship with food and body, ’cause it really works.
