I joined Toastmasters this spring and it’s been SO much fun!
Toastmasters is an organization that fosters great speakers. And since I love teaching and speaking, I thought I would jump in and improve my own speaking skills.
It’s been a very interesting experience for me because each time I get up to speak, I’m developing new skills and learning to take up more space on the stage. I don’t mean just physically walking around the stage, I also mean giving myself internal and psychological permission to take up more space – have more presence – be more ME up there! I LOVE IT!
Last week, I specifically talked about scales (the kind that we use to weigh ourselves with) and the best place to put them! And no, it’s not your bathroom.
Here’s the video – heads up…it’s not one of my fancy videos – it was taken for learning purposes at Toastmasters.
If you’d like to see more of my videos, here they are!
