I started doing Yoga when I was 9 years old.
My mom was ahead of her time, and invited a Yoga teacher to come to the basement of our house in Montreal. All the neighborhood ladies would come on Tuesday nights, and we’d all take Yoga.
I haven’t stopped practicing since!
Yoga means union. It’s all about the union between body, mind and spirit. My many years of practicing yoga has really shown me the power of cultivating that union. When we really feel the connection between our body, mind and spirit, we are more likely to make healthy choices that truly support us.
One of the most powerful parts of my yoga practice has always been conscious breathing. I’ve found that the more mindfully I incorporate breathing exercises into my yoga routine, the more I’m able to easily and quickly relax myself – using my breath – during every day life.
In this video (shot right before I taught an early morning yoga class, while camping) I show you how to do a super simple yoga breathing practice that will connect you to your energy and to your heart!
