What about me?Women are nurturers, we’re givers – we mother the people in our lives – whether we have kids or not.

We mother everyone…but not usually our selves.

Mother’s Day may have been a wonderful day for you and you felt truly appreciated and nourished by your day (and in your life).

And others of you may be asking…

“What about ME?”

Today may have been about your own mother or mother-in-law, or you may not have had the nourishing day that you really wanted. You may also be feeling like one day of a nice brunch and flowers simply doesn’t fill up the deficit of your giving and giving.

“What about me?!” is a great question to be asking yourself, because inherent in the question is the belief that you actually have needs!

Yup, it’s true, as much as you’d rather think you can just keep on giving and going and doing for everyone else…YOU DO HAVE NEEDS!

And, if you don’t acknowledge them, your needs come out as resentment or crankiness or unwanted eating habits, or you just not feeling happy!

So, simply asking the question…

WHAT ABOUT ME?! steps you into the language of needs and desires.

Once you “name” your needs. Once you “admit” that yes: you do, in fact, want something, need something – are hungry for something to nourish you on any level (mind, body or soul) – so that you are that much more likely to actually get your needs met.

Once we say honestly to ourselves…

  • I need more sleep
  • I need time alone
  • I need to move my body
  • I need food

or whatever your need is…then you can start responding to yourself, to your inner needs.

When you say: “What about me?!” you become powerful in your self-care, you start to take responsibility for nourishing yourself.

Today, I invite you to start asking yourself this vital question and watch the transformation.

When you focus on yourself you start to feel better in your body, you are happier, your skin glows, your mood is stable, your sleep and eating are better.

Asking “What about me?!” is where it starts!

And, if you want to have incredible expert support and a powerful community to connect you back to YOU, I hope you’ll step into the Nourished Woman Nation membership! When you sign up by Tuesday, May 13th you’ll get instant access to your “What About Me?!” checklist.
