My family got turned on to Licorice Root a few years ago when I took my daughter, who had the kind of cough that shakes your whole body, to our acupuncturist. The first thing he did, before he started to treat her with acupuncture, was to ease her hacking by having her suck on a piece of Licorice Root. It was like magic.
Within the last week Elana of Elanaspantry.com and Shannon of Nourishingdays.com , two wonderful bloggers I follow (their blogs are as beautiful as they are informative) both had great information about Licorice Root.
