Commercially made ketchup is usually packed with sugar, or high-fructose corn syrup. It’s like sprinkling candy on your food!
Even the “healthy” ketchups – which are sweetened with agave – are not any better because agave is an isolated fructose, which raises triglycerides.
But there’s an easy alternative – make your own! It only takes 2 minutes.
Healthy Homemade Ketchup
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 1 Tablespoon raw honey
- 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
- A pinch or two sea salt
Mix it up.
Seriously, that’s it.
Enjoy!
