This cranberry sauce is quick and easy. It’s so much healthier than traditional Cranberry Sauce because it’s not packed with refined sugar. And, it’s versatile:

  • It fits in beautifully with a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
  • It’s superb served on top of my super-easy healthy squash pie
  • I eat it on its own, as a treat with chopped walnuts and raw honey drizzled on top.
  • It takes one minute to make.

This recipe is based on a Nomi Shannon recipe. I simplified it for ease of prep and to fit in better for my mommy lifestyle.

Raw Cranberry Sauce:

Ingredients:

  • one 8 ounce package of fresh Cranberries – wash, and pick out any soft ones
  • 1 Orange – remove the peel
  • 4-6 Pitted Medjool Dates (depends on how sweet you like your sauce)

How to:

  • Blend all ingredients in a food processor until it reaches your favorite consistency.

I enjoy a bit of crunch from the fresh cranberries. If you are looking for a more traditional cranberry sauce consistency, let it blend a bit more. Blend it a bit, taste it for texture and sweetness – add more dates if you like – and blend more if you like. Be flexible – it’s food, it’s fun!
