Stevia is an herb, but unlike most herbs that tend towards a savory flavor, stevia is super sweet.
If you just take a nibble of the leaf, you’ll know what I mean – it’s seriously, sickly sweet!
So, it makes for a great natural sweetener.
One thing I particularly like about using stevia, is that it doesn’t spike your blood sugar levels. Even, stable blood sugar levels are very important for vibrant health!
However, our food industry has caught on to this natural sweetener, and turned it into many different products. Some I like and recommend…some I don’t.
I made you a video in the aisle of one of my favorite health food stores (Debra’s Natural Gourmet in West Concord, MA) to tell you about which stevia brands you should buy, and which you shouldn’t!
