NATURAL REMEDIES FOR URINARY TRACT INFECTIONSIt had been over 20 years since I’d gotten a Urinary Tract Infection, so I was kind of shocked when I was:

  • Feeling an intense need to pee, but hardly any pee came out
  • Experiencing a burning sensation when I did pee
  • Dragging myself around because I was feeling so low energy

A Urinary Tract Infection!? Ugh, I couldn’t even remember how to really treat it naturally – except for cranberry juice, so I did my research and healed my UTI right away  – I’ll tell you about that in a moment.

Then a couple of months later, on an online forum filled with thousands of health coaches, someone posted a plea for help! She had a urinary tract infection….and wow! When you get over 30 health coaches chatting about a health issue, you’re going to come up with a powerful list of healing options!

And, that’s what I want to offer you today. A myriad of useful information – natural remedies and holistic approaches to healing Urinary Tract Infections: UTI’s – as well as a few ways to prevent urinary tract infections from happening in the first place.

The first thing I discovered in my research is the alarming rate of Urinary Tract Infections. One in every two women will have at least one urinary tract infection over the course of their lifetime. Many women have recurring infections, and when untreated, a urinary tract infection can cause bigger problems – like infection of the kidney, and more.

Natural remedies for Urinary Tract Infections:

  1. Drink tons of water
  2. Drink tons of cranberry juice – unsweetened and if possible, not from concentrate. Lakewood Organics makes a high quality cranberry juice.
  3. Take a D-Mannose supplement. This is the supplement that cured my UTI immediately!
  4. Stop eating sugar, including refined carbohydrates (which convert to sugar)
  5. Stop drinking alcohol
  6. Sleep more
  7. Acknowledge and make space for your feelings. Anger and resentment are often associated with urinary tract infections

Prevent Urinary Tract Infections:

  1. Drink lots of water as part of your daily routine
  2. Pee within 20-30 minutes of sexual intercourse
  3. Always wipe your bottom from front to back so fecal bacteria doesn’t move into the genital area
  4. Pay attention to food sensitivities – gluten has been known exacerbate urinary tract infections.
  5. Eat a whole foods diet.

Just to be clear, I’m not an MD, so please know I’m not prescribing or diagnosing here. I’m giving you  powerful information that has helped me and many others.

May you never have to use any of this information! (Except for the healthy preventative measures!)
