There’s nothing like a big dollop of whipped cream on top of ice cream, waffles, berries – really whatever – to make a luscious dessert.

But I don’t recommend whipped cream made from cow’s milk, because dairy (unlike what the Dairy Associations would have you believe) is not as good for you as you think.

So many people have dairy sensitivities. Often folks with skin issues or digestive issues are being adversely affected by dairy, and they don’t even realize it.

I also certainly don’t recommend any of the artificial whipped creams because they are just soooo processed. There’s nothing whole food/real food about them.

So, what’s a whipped cream lover to do?

Coconut Whipped Cream!

Coconut is so good for you!

Yes, it’s high in fat, but the fat is a medium chain fatty acid (a good thing). And, 50 percent of coconut’s fat is lauric acid. The body converts lauric acid into monolaurin, which has anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties.

Coconut:

  • Promotes heart health
  • Promotes weight loss
  • Supports your immune system
  • Supports a healthy metabolism
  • Provides you with an immediate energy source
  • Keeps your skin glowing.
  • Supports the thyroid gland

Adding coconut products to your life is good in any form: coconut oil, coconut butter, shredded or flaked coconut, and young fresh coconut.

But one of my favorites, because it’s so decadent – and yet so easy to make – is Coconut Whipped Cream.
