Honestly, I’ve been a little bored by hummus lately. It’s been a go-to snack in my household for so long, that I’m a bit done with it.

In fact, one of my past blogs was focused on non-hummus quick snacks, ’cause I was so over hummus.

But my cousin Adam is visiting from London, and he’s such a good cook that his easy and healthy version of hummus won me back over to loving hummus again. Part of what won me over – besides the taste – is how his recipe can be turned into different variations with ease.

This video of him making hummus is a bit longer than most of the videos I share with you, but it’s worth watching, ’cause he has such great tips:

  • I learned a tip about cooking chickpeas from scratch, that cuts the cooking time in half.
  • I learned how to make hummus without adding a boat-load of olive oil. Olive oil is a healthy oil, but I always found that the chickpeas absorbed more olive oil than I wanted to include in my recipe. Adam showed me how to make hummus without all the extra oil!
